I try to stay as far away from World Net Daily as possible, but via Media Matters comes this outrageous excerpt from a column that appeared on the site on March 4. After explaining why he thinks that Obama is already a completely colossal failure, Burt Prelutsky writes:
Frankly, I don’t know why anybody continues to hold Obama in high esteem. Maybe it’s like those women who marry charming fellows only to discover after the vows have been exchanged that he’s an abuser. In spite of the black eyes and split lips, the ladies are just too embarrassed to call the cops and have their friends and relatives discover what a dunderhead they’ve been.
Prelutsky’s bio at the end of the article describes him as a “humor columnist.” Har har. Har.
Well then, we now have President Obama, who we have no reason whatsoever to believe has a history of abusive behavior, compared to a perpetrator of intimate partner violence. And then, much worse, we have women who end up in abusive relationships being called “dunderheads” — not to mention the reason that more women don’t report such violence being written off entirely as “embarrassment” rather than, you know, fear. And of course, there’s no self-reflection over the fact that statements such as these are indeed the very reason that many women do in fact feel embarrassed and to blame for the abuse.
I know I’m laughing.
The Curvature 
I was going to say something snarky about how funny it is…but I can’t even joke, b/c that comparison is beyond tasteless, let alone not funny.
These people still believe Hillary Clinton killed Vince Foster to cover-up a real estate deal she lost money on. That maybe believable on a horrible cop show like NCIS, not in the real world.

The Alan Keyes columns are so bad they’re good. Keyes can replace Prelutsky as the humor columnist. The man was funnier than Robin Williams at the Iowa debate.
This is where Prelutsky is coming from.
A reason Obama won the election is because of the rehetoric of people like Prelutsky. There is a reason the Obama administration is propping up Rush Limbaugh. The center hates Limbaugh. The current GOP has no idea on how to expand their base.
And how many Nexis hits are we going to find of Prelutsky lamenting Bush’s abuse of Air Force One? Weak.
I would love another New Deal. Bill Kristol’s infamous memo to kill Hillary Clinton’s health care plan was out of fear Republicans would have permanent minority status. The GOP placed politics above the health of the American people.
Prelutsky calls Eric Holder an “arrogant twit” and compares Obama to Mussolini. This isn’t a humor column. This is an angry and poorly written rant.
It deserves no more than a hearty what. the. eff.
Is it even worth it to write to that paper and perhaps gently point out how fucking offensive that comparison is?
Sigh. I’m really not one to usually say this at all, but . . . probably not, Lemur. Probably not.
Lemur, the World Net Daily is internet only. I have no idea how they stay in business. I like to see what their ad revenue is.

I suppose it would be to much for them to call a woman beating asshole what he is; a sick vile abusing piece of crap human being. Fuck this is why I cannot stand this site. It’s always blame the woman for the actions of the man.
I have no idea who Burt Prelutsky is and after reading this I have no desire to know more about him. And to AshKW, yes, I caught the stereotype of the black male in what he said as well.
